โจ Thanks to Turning my Lives into Prayers, I am so Happy๐ that I feel as if I am Living in Heaven every Single Day๐ฅฐโจ
Hello, this is Agnes Kim Ok-geum from the Masan diocese, South Korea. Thanks to turning my lives into prayers, I am so happy that I feel as if I am living in heaven every single day.
My eldest daughter had severe pain across her entire back, so she went to the hospital. The doctor said she had “ossification of the posterior longitudinal ligament”, which means that a bone in her neck had grown and was pressing on a nerve.
Before the surgery, they even asked me to sign a waiver acknowledging that she could become completely paralyzed. But I entrusted everything to Jesus of Mercy in Glory, praying: “Lord, today so many people fall into pride and are walking on the path to hell. Please accept my daughter’s suffering and my own suffering together, so that these proud souls may repent and return to the way of Heaven.” And by God’s grace, the surgery was completed successfully in just four hours.
After coming home from surgery, I got a call from my younger daughter saying, “Mom, I tore a major ligament in my leg and I’m going into surgery now.” So I turned that into prayer, saying, “Oh Jesus, You keep giving me love. Please go there and help her in surgery too.”
For a month, I had to take care of both of my daughters and my younger daughter’s cat at home. I had to care for three beings at once—washing the hair of one who was bedridden, tending to the other who had leg pain—and the days seemed endless.
But as I kept up turning my lives into prayers, my heart felt peaceful, and the girls were always laughing together. Morning and noon, I turned my lives into prayers while feeding them and cleaning cat hair. Even though I was busy all day, I didn’t feel exhausted. Thanks to this, we got through the month safely, and my daughters recovered well.
Not long after, while everyone was back at work, my younger daughter called again, saying, “Mom, the ligament in my left leg tore, and I need surgery.”
“Oh, thank You, Jesus. She already had surgery on her right leg, and now You’re helping her left leg match the other, making it stronger.” And I said to my daughter, “Don’t worry, I’ll be praying for you.” I offered it up with gratitude.
I also said to my daughter, “Since you’re having surgery anyway, could you offer the pain from your leg to help others who might sin because of their missteps?”
She agreed, and this time, she recovered well at home without needing to come to me, and now she’s back at work. Meanwhile, our youngest son passed his civil service exam, so all three of them became civil servants.
As for me, one day on my way to work, I nearly collided with a huge trailer. I truly believe the Scapular of Jesus of Mercy in Glory protected me.
What amazed me even more was that I didn’t feel anger toward the driver; instead, I turned that into prayer, offering the situation to God, saying, “Jesus, please have mercy on that person and bring him into Your embrace.” With that, I was able to continue my work calmly and peacefully.
I truly believe that without turning my lives into prayers, I might not have even been in this world.
Turning my daily lives into prayers has been my greatest treasure, my spiritual weapon.

By practicing the Five Spiritualities in everything I do—at work, at home, and with my neighbors—my life has become richer in spirit, fuller, happier, and beneficial to others. Turning our daily lives into prayers is an absolutely amazing practice.
Even in small things, like washing the rice cooker, if a little bit of rice is left, I say, “Oh Jesus, Mama Julia washed spoiled rice and eat this for the intention of saving souls. Likewise I’ll eat this remaining rice to save a soul. I ate this one grain—did I save a soul?”
I have been able to learn and live out the Five Spiritualities, and I am so, so grateful to Mama Julia for teaching me. I live a life full of unspeakable gratitude. Mama Julia, I am truly happy. Mama, I love you. I give all of this glory to the Lord and the Blessed Mother. Thank You.June 3, 2023
