Doubts on the Miraculous Spring Water of Naju and its Scientific Test(1)

Hello! Welcome to our show ‘Show me the Naju Fact’. In this episode 6, we are going to check the fact about the Miraculous Spring Water on the Blessed Mother’s Mountain in Naju. I’d like to introduce you our two panelists for today. Hello!

Peter, Sr. Michaella : Hello!

Peter : Nice to see you!

Maria Kwon :
As you can see here, we have a water bottle labeled ‘The Miraculous Spring Water’. The report by ‘PD Notebook’ and ‘Investigative Report 7’ on ‘the Miraculous Spring Water’ raised a lot of doubts among people, right?

Peter :
Yes, both TV programs caused a lot of confusion because they fabricated the facts and broadcasted false information about Naju and the Miraculous Spring Water. So today I’d like to let you know the truth how they manipulated the findings on the Miraculous Spring Water.

Sr. Michaella :
Yes. The broadcast aired a malicious rumor as if it were true. They stated, “Escherichia coli (E. coli) was found in the water, and it’s not suitable to drink.” So today we are going to tell you the truth with our reliable evidence.

Maria Kwon :
Yes, as you just said, there has been a lot of malicious rumors flying around regarding the Miraculous Spring Water. As the broadcasters’ content were false, I think we can prove, through scientific verification, the truth that everyone can trust. Was the water analysis conducted in the laboratory trusted by the general public?

Peter :
Yes, it was. And so far, countless people, domestic and from abroad, have never had any problems after drinking the Miraculous Spring Water. That’s not all.

Following regulations, water analysis that we regularly requested was conducted by the water & sewerage government agency, the health-and-environment research institutes in South-Jeolla Province, and the government-authorized water analysis laboratory. And NONE of the result mentioned Naju Water is unsuitable for drinking.
The confirmation for the drinking water was, of course, ‘Suitable’.

Maria Kwon :
Yes, it means that after several tests at the various public and government agencies and water analysis labs, they’ve all verified that the Water is ‘Suitable to drink’.

Peter :
In addition to this, in order to take a good care of the Miraculous Spring Water given by the Lord and the Blessed Mother; in October of 2013, we requested the Korean Environmental Test Institute to conduct a water analysis. We then also submitted the test results to a related institution.

The results were as follows: “The contents of the water analysis show that the quality is in the highest level of ground water.” And the conductor and representative of the Institute said, “We have taken care of and examined the groundwater of many companies and their quality. This is the first time seeing water this clean in my life.” (Data screen)

Maria Kwon :
Once again, we check the fact. The quality of Naju water is reported to be the highest level, and cleaner than any other drinking water from various companies. This is an impressive comment from the inspector. Even though there are obvious facts from a number of scientific verifications, why did ‘PD Notebook’ and ‘Investigative Report 7’ say differently about the truth of this Miraculous Spring Water?

Peter :
In 2007 ‘PD Notebook’ said, “In the miraculous water, ‘general bacteria’ was three times higher than the standard. People’ve been drinking and washing with the water filled with bacteria and calling it miraculous water.” This is a spiteful false report. But no one knows who, when, where and how the test water was sampled.

So after the broadcast by PD Notebook, we immediately requested examination at the water & sewerage company in Mokpo, which has municipal jurisdiction (over Naju). For your information, usually general bacteria are even present in the air, and it is acceptable as normal up to the count of 100. The test result of Naju Miraculous Spring Water shows that it is not only completely free from Escherichia coli(E. coli), but also free of all general bacteria. It turned out that Naju Miraculous Spring Water is the best-drinking alkalinized Water.

Maria Kwon :
So then, although two laboratories conducted tests in the same period, they showed completely different results. Yet in ‘PD Notebook’ the process for sampling the water was not opened at all. Since the water analysis requested by the Blessed Mother’s House was carried out by a government institution, we can safely say that the result is 100% transparent and reliable without any doubt.

Sr. Michaella :
Yes! That’s right! We can say that it’s equivalent to a completely 200% reliable test result.

Maria Kwon :
But ‘Investigative Report 7’ said, “We found total coliforms, fecal coliforms, and Escherichia coli in the water.” How could this happen?

Sr. Michaella :
‘Investigative Report 7’ emphasized that even the fecal coliforms, which originate from human and animal feces, were detected in the water. However, it’s absolutely not true. There is no livestock in the Blessed Mother’s Mountain. After examining the Miraculous Spring Water in 2013, it’s written in the geological analysis that “There is no contamination source since the spring spot is surrounded by mountainous areas.”, “The composition of the upper part of this underwater well is so well-enclosed that it protects itself from pollutants.”

Maria Kwon : Please explain in more detail.

Sr. Michaella :
Yes, we asked the National Institute of Environmental Research and learned from them that if fecal coliforms are found in the groundwater, it’s because of contamination due to the inflow from surface water. But in the geological state of the Miraculous Spring Water, it’s difficult for the contaminants to be absorbed from the outside.

Moreover, according to the test result for the Miraculous Spring Water, it is clearly written, “The levels of Nitrate nitrogen, an important pollutant factor after the external inflow from surface water, and Chlorine ion and sulfate ion, the factors which are vital to determine whether there’s an inflow or not, show Naju Miraculous Spring Water is safe from all surface inflows.”

Maria Kwon :
Yes, it means that it has proven that it’s impossible for the fecal coliforms to be found in (Naju) Water.

Sr. Michaella :
Yes, that’s right. On Sept 6, 2018, the very next day after the (fake) broadcast on Sept 5, we immediately examined the Water at the Environmental Research Institute – a water analysis agency designated by the Ministry of Environment – and it was conducted on Sept 10. The results showed that, like all previous tests, total coliforms, fecal coliforms, and E. coli were all ‘not-found’.

Maria Kwon :
Again unlike the (fake) broadcasts, those bacteria were reported ‘not-found’. Once again, the information aired in the broadcast was completely distorted, and I think they announced something malicious. It’s a shame.

Sr. Michaella :
Right. As the information came from the broadcast, people tend to believe it as was shown, rather than trying to find out the truth. But in this age of information free flow, by searching for the truth, we have to be the ones to discern the authenticity of the broadcasted information.

Maria Kwon :
Yes, that’s why we’re also doing a “Fact Check” to let people know the truth. First of all, let me remind you of the scientific results as “Fact Check”. The most important fact is that E. coli is “not-found” (in Naju Water). You who are watching this show, I think should be aware of the truth now. But I’d like to find out one more thing. How could the media publicize this fabricated information?

Peter :
Typically when requesting for water analysis, the inspector of agency needs to visit the source and sample it in the presence of the person in charge. And then a sample should be delivered and examined as the state when it was sampled. But it’s impossible for us to know whether there was manipulation when the broadcast team carried out sampling the water!

In “Investigative Report 7,” the water was sampled not by an inspector of the agency, but a broadcast member himself came and sampled the water. This is an immoral act that violates the sampling standards, which they knew was illegal. Broadcasting invalid results to the public is a very vicious act that disregards the people’s right to know. How can they disregard the people’s right to know like this?

Maria Kwon :
I see. During their own sampling and testing process, a biased manipulation must have happened.

Peter :
Obviously. Therefore, as defined in regulation: ‘In order to prevent fabrications about a water analysis result which is to be submitted to government offices, for the purpose of a company’s approval, completion and regular certification, the water must be sampled and sealed in the presence of the Petitioner, and by an authorized person from the government institution having municipal jurisdiction and affiliation with the Ministry of Environment.’

However, (in Investigative Report 7) test samples which are not taken by an authorized person but by a private individual person cannot be officially recognized or submitted as evidence.

Sr. Michaella :
Right. A staff from Sunchon National University’s eco-friendly agricultural center, who conducted the test for Investigative Report 7, raised the possibility of improper sampling.

Naju volunteer :
“So far, our (Naju) Water’s never received the result of ‘Not Suitable to Drink’ by other governmental inspectors.”
Staff member of Sunchon National University’s eco-friendly agricultural center : “The reason why it happened is... In the case of E. coli and fecal coliforms, they are also found inside the human body, thus improper water samplings can cause that kind of problems in regard to coliforms. I have seen such cases many times. Yes, it could possibly happen.”

Sr. Michaella :
In addition, ‘Investigative Report 7’ said that they got water here but they themselves sampled the water which violated the sampling regulations. Therefore, it’s impossible for all other parties which water was actually examined, and whether there was tampering or not.

Maria Kwon :
Yes, in other words, ‘Incorrect samplings cause E. coli to enter the water.’ They didn’t even follow an accurate and transparent sampling process which is required in order to get reliable test results. How was the test result that you requested obtained after the broadcast?

Peter :
For a reliable and accurate result, we adhered strictly to the guidelines. The water was sampled in the presence of a person in charge of the Blessed Mother’s Mountain, by an inspector from an accredited institution with municipal jurisdiction over Naju. The test result confirmed that, of course, the total coliforms, the fecal coliforms, and E. coli were all “Not-found” and Naju Water was verified as “Suitable to Drink.”

Maria Kwon :
The result showed that all of E. coli was not detected and that the (Naju) water was confirmed as ‘suitable to drink,’ I can’t help but doubt that “Investigative Report 7” spread false information.

Sr. Michaella :
Yes, that’s right. Due to their false report, people not only missed a grace that they deserve, but they(who believe the false report and blame Naju) also even have committed sins. That’s why we had no other choice but to file a lawsuit against them. And now they(Investigative Report 7) are not able to explain or defend themselves.

Maria Kwon :
Judgment has not been issued yet, but is there any information from the trial to share in this show today?

Peter :
Yes, of course. During this trial, we’ve asked for another test of Miraculous Spring Water. The test was conducted in Sept 2019 by an accredited institution, having municipal jurisdiction over Naju, designated by the judge. After that, the official inspector also told us about the results of the test over the phone. (Phone-call with Inspection agency on Sept 17, 2019)

Naju volunteer : “You said there’s none of No E. coli in the water, right?”

Staff of Inspection agency : “Right, right.”

Albino : “What about ‘general bacteria’?”

Staff : “General bacteria also none.”

Albino : “Oh, I see. So ‘No General bacteria’ you mean.”

Staff : “Yes, yes.”

Maria Kwon :
As we just heard, the test result of Naju Miraculous Spring Water in 2019 is free from E. coli & general bacteria. And, the fact to check is, “Naju Water is Suitable to Drink.”

We have someone here to add some information on the Naju Miraculous Spring Water.

All : Hello!

Peter Han :
I’m Peter Han from Suwon Diocese.

Maria Kwon :
I’ve heard that you, Peter, requested an examination on Naju Miraculous Spring Water after you collected it. What made you want to examine the water?

Peter Han :
Well, I myself had been cured of cancer with this Miraculous Spring Water, and I also recommended and distributed the Water to many people. But they complained with lots of inquiries to me when they had seen “Investigative Report 7”. Despite some authentic test results, people believed the fabricated broadcasting instead. So I was so sad that I made up my mind to request an examination on Naju Miraculous Spring Water that I brought home myself from my pilgrimage days in Naju.

Maria Kwon : Yes, you said you requested a test. When did you ask for the test?

Peter Han :
I had collected the Water on the First Saturday, July 7, 2018. At the time, the weather was so hot. Usually I have the Miraculous Spring Water in my car and I drink only that Water. However, ‘Investigative Report 7’ was aired in September and I was so angry at their false report. So I took the Miraculous Spring Water which was left in my home for the examination in a laboratory. The date of the request was Sept 19, 2018.

Maria Kwon :
You said that you asked for a test on September 19. Where and how did you get your test done?

Peter Han :
I requested a test to ‘WATERS, Institute of Living Environment’, a water quality testing agency authorized by the government. When I first called, they asked, “What kind of water is it?” I told them, “This is underground water, but it’s been 2 months since it was collected.” They said, “Normally water like this is already contaminated. You don’t have to test it.” But I said, “Please test it anyway.” So they did.

Maria Kwon :
Does this picture show that’s how you collected Naju Miraculous Water into a bottle for testing?

Peter Han :
Yes, it is. I usually collect the water to bring home in 20L containers every First Saturday. The testing agency said that, I had to collect the water in an aseptic bottle for an examination. But I sent the water sample to the institute in my own container (that had been collected 2 months ago).

Maria Kwon : I see. What was the test result?

Peter Han :
Contrary to what the testing agency was concerned about, E. coli, fecal coliforms were not found, and it was judged as fit for drinking water.

Maria Kwon : 
Ah! That’s amazing. You requested this test two months after you brought the water from Naju.

Peter Han : Yes, you’re right.

Maria Kwon :
The test result was “Suitable to Drink”. So it’s becoming clearer that the water in ‘PD’s Note’ or in ‘Investigative Report 7’ was not Naju Miraculous Spring Water, or that there were fabrications.

Peter Han :
Yes, right. But I thought this test alone might not be enough to convince people around me. So, I took the water to OATC, a government-authorized test institute, to test the nutritional ingredients in it.

Maria Kwon :
Oh, you even got a nutritional test from OATC, another examination institute authorized by the government. So, what was the test result?

Peter Han :
Yes. The tests showed that this water contains calories, carbohydrates and proteins. It was amazing.
Oh my! I’ve heard of mineral water is known to be top shelf water in markets. But it’s amazing to know that there are nutrients in the Naju Miraculous Spring Water.

Peter Han : Yes, it is.

Peter :
Yes, that’s really amazing. If the water contains nutrients, it will become contaminated over time. How hot it was last summer (in 2018)! Despite the hot weather, Naju Miraculous Spring Water was stored at room temperature (for two months) and did not decay, even though it contained proteins. Isn’t this truly a miracle?

Maria Kwon :
That’s right. As you said, the Water didn’t decay despite containing protein. It’s amazing, and you also said you’ve been healed from cancer with Naju Miraculous Spring Water. What cancer have you been healed from?

Peter Han :
I was diagnosed with malignant neoplasm cancer in my parotid gland in Nov, 2008. Now, I am completely healed by only drinking the Miraculous Spring Water, without taking cancer treatments, chemotherapy or whatever. Also before, I used to drink a lot of alcohol. Then around Aug 20, 2014, I was diagnosed with hepatocellular carcinoma at Asan hospital. After the surgery, I was not subjected to any other treatment but just medical tests for the first three months. Then after that, six months. And I became completely healed. There was no side effect or anything. Throughout that period, I only drank the Miraculous Spring Water.

All : Ah~

Peter Han :
Yes, and now a professor whom I know was also diagnosed with a terminal disease and given six months to live. So I sent three bottles of (Naju Miraculous Spring) Water to him to drink when he was in the fourth month. And one day when he went to the hospital for checkup, he found that the cancers which spread to his stomach and lungs, all disappeared. But that’s not all. I kept giving the (Miraculous Spring) Water to him every First Saturday. And two months ago, the cancer that had previously spread all over his body disappeared. He told me that. It was a great healing incident.

Maria Kwon :
Wow, that’s amazing. So do you mean that, although the cancer had spread all over his body and he was only given six months to live, he’s been healed through the power of Naju Miraculous Spring Water?

BE : Yeah.

Maria Kwon : Mm-hmm.

Peter :
Pilgrims who come to Naju on every First Saturday or Anniversary bring the Miraculous Spring Water home and drink it at room temperature. And so far, there has never been any problem. Rather, there has been a lot of healing miracles. So, if there’s anyone who worries about drinking this Miraculous Spring Water after watching the manipulated false broadcasts by ‘PD Notebook’ and ‘Investigative Report 7’, please feel safe to drink this (Naju Miraculous Spring) Water from now on. Isn’t it good to drink lots of such good Water? Please try drinking it.

Maria Kwon :
Yes. Once again, we let you know that as there are scientific test results that are transparent and trusted by the general public, please feel safe to drink the Miraculous Spring Water. However, this is what I mentioned a while ago: The water that contains nutrition doesn’t decay. Is this really possible?

Sr. Michaella :
Yes, the reason can be inferred from the results of the investigation in 2000 by Dr. Molnar Gyula. He came to Naju with Fr. Louis Bosmans. Dr. Gyula visited Naju and took the Miraculous Spring Water sample to Hungary. He spent one year researching and experimenting it thoroughly with microbiologists at the National Center for Epidemiology. As you just said, who is Dr. Gyula, and what made him research Naju Miraculous Spring Water?

He devoted himself to promoting and researching Marian Devotions. He visited famous apparition sites such as France, Korea, and Mexico and promoted devotions through meeting in his own country and abroad.

Maria Kwon :
Oh I see. Even though we’ve learned various accurate tests results (on Naju Water) so far, I think the microbiologists have done more thorough testing on the Water especially regarding bacteria at the National Center for Epidemiology.

The results of the scholarly experiments, using a basis of facts and logic, were carried out without a single fabrication. Dr. Gyula noted that the results were strongly encouraging, and maintained that the research was never tiresome, constantly leading them to unexpected discoveries.
I’m very curious to hear that there were encouraging and surprising test results. What were they?

Sr.Michaella :
Dr. Gyula repeatedly conducted thorough testing for a year and announced these results : “What we can say with certainty after a year of research is that the holy water from Naju stops bacteria such as Salmonella, Escherichia coli, Yersinia enterocolitica and cidrobacter freundii from propagating.”

Maria Kwon :
Yes. Not only does the water not contain bacteria, but it also stops bacteria from propagating! What an amazing fact!

Sr. Michaella :
Yes, that’s right. Biologists and chemists were constantly at work to explore to what degree the Holy water of Naju possessed the power to purify contaminated water. Contaminated water means, for example, water taken from a river. Laboratory experiments demonstrated that just 1ml of Naju Miraculous Spring Water purifies 200ml of contaminated water.

Peter :
Yes, that’s right. He rejoiced saying, “The result shows that this Holy Water has immense power, which is not made out of our imagination, but is a complete reality.” He rejoiced and said that Naju Miraculous Spring Water has a very strong power.

Maria Kwon :
Yes, after hearing that “The microbiologists had conducted research for a year in the National Institute”, I think that there is nowhere else on earth that has ever gotten more detailed and accurate scientific results other than this. Even with this proof, I still feel it is mysterious and amazing. And I’ve heard that there’s another miracle of the Miraculous Spring Water.

Peter :
Yes there is. Jesus and the Blessed Mother have shown many miracles through Julia’s love and sacrifice. Some examples are that They showed the image of the Eucharist on the Miraculous Spring Water, gave the Fragrant Oil in brilliant colors, and sometimes gave us Thick Milk (of the Blessed Mother) and a variety of live movements in the Water.

Maria Kwon :
Oh, you mean it’s just water but in there, something appeared or the Water moved?

Be : Yes.

Maria Kwon : Have you witnessed it?

Be : Yeah, I’ve seen it many times.

Be :
First of all, the Fragrant Oil means oil that has fragrance. After Julia prays over the Miraculous Spring Water, the Fragrant Oil appears with very brilliant colors on the water, and Fragrant Oil becomes big and then small and also moves like this. I’ve also seen the Fragrant Oil popping as if it were alive.

Maria Kwon:
Oh! That’s so amazing, but I can’t imagine how it looks after just hearing the explanation.

Although they were supposed to report only the facts, they re-edited and manipulated the evidence to sensationalize the viewers’ interest and curiosity.
