Archbishop Hieronymus Herculanus Bumbun's Testimony

“I Saw the Miracles That Healed the Blind, Deaf, and Dumb Making Them See, Hear, and Speak Through Julia’s Prayers!”

I met Julia Kim, a little soul of God and His instrument for the salvation of this world for the first time in the Diocese of Ruteng in March 2007.

My close friend, Bishop Sangsun of Ruteng diocese, invited Julia Kim to his diocese proclaimed a 3-day holiday during her visit. He celebrated the Marian Conference and Solemn Mass in honour of the Blessed Mother of Naju. The cathedral overfilled not only inside and out, but also into every street, with 50 thousand of the faithful praising the Blessed Mother of Naju.

At the end of the Prayer Meeting, Julia began to pray over countless people one by one, by hugging them in her bosom. At the time, I witnessed wondrous miracles.

When Julia prayed over deaf and blind children, putting miraculous water into their eyes and ears, they began to see and to speak. The miracles that I only could read in the Bible or the book of Saints’ lives unfolded right before my eyes. What’s more, I could see a greater miracle than just the healing. That is the love of the Lord and the Blessed Mother.

Julia Kim warmly and joyfully hugged all the children there, as if they were her own. Observing the scene, I saw the deep, motherly love of the Blessed Mother through her.

Therefore, I made my first pilgrimage to Naju on August 15, 2007. Our Lord and Supreme  Priest,  granted  me, an  unworthy servant, His  Precious Blood  which descended on my chasuble. Since then, I’ve made constant pilgrimage to Naju for the past 12 years, and I have seen many people experience profound repentance and healing graces, transforming their lives to follow the Gospel.

Indeed, what is happening here in Naju is truly God’s work. 2,000  years  ago,  Our  Lord  Jesus  instituted  the  Sacrament  of  Eucharist  for  the salvation of human race, and chose 12 apostles to deliver the Good News to the world. Now, the Blessed Mother Who came to save this world revealed to us the “Five Spiritualties” fulfilled through Julia Kim’s life.

In this urgent time, it is the most powerful weapon to defeat Satan, together with Holy Communion made after sincere Confession. The Five Spiritualities will lead us to sanctify our daily lives by turning everything into prayers and offering them up.

If we arm ourselves with the Five Spiritualties and practice it with heroic loyalty until the end, we will stand at the side of the Lord and the Blessed Mother together with Julia Kim on the day of Triumph of Immaculate Heart of Mary.

 Message from Archbishop Bumbun

ascending Heaven during his funeral Mass at Naju Shrine

received by Julia Kim of Naju

Thursday, October 3, 2024

On September 30, 2024, Archbishop Bumbun passed away. On that day, I had experienced such extreme pain that it was difficult to stay conscious. I even developed sores in my mouth, which had not been there before, so I wondered, “Why is this happening?” Then later I realized, “I must have been receiving the pain of Archbishop Bumbun, who had a tube in his throat.” During the Requiem Mass for him in Naju, I offered up all my suffering for Archbishop Bumbun.

Recently, the Lord showed a rainbow on the windows of the convent. Small and large rainbows have been granted on the windows, floor, and ceiling of the Spirituality Office, and an enormous rainbow appeared for several days in the Chapel. Rainbows have also frequently been granted in my room and bathroom.

However, starting around 5 p.m. on October 3, a massive rainbow, unlike any I had ever seen before, was visible above the sky over the Chapel and the Blessed Mother’s Mountain in Naju. For about an hour, rainbows appeared as many as three times, and they were so vivid that I could clearly see them from my residence. The first was a double rainbow, and the second and third were triple rainbows. Of the three sets of rainbows, two had three layers, and one was a single-layer rainbow, making a total of seven rainbows. My fellow volunteers and I were overjoyed as we witnessed the seven rainbows, shouting in excitement. Seeing the number seven, which symbolizes victory, we all felt that something good would happen soon, and we gave praise and glory to the Lord and the Blessed Mother.

On this day, there was a Holy Hour Devotion on Thursday at the Naju chapel, and during the Mass, we placed a memorial photo of the late Archbishop Bumbun in front of the Blessed Mother on the altar, offering the Mass as his funeral Mass. After the Mass, while meditating in pain, I cried, missing Archbishop Bumbun deeply, and prayed, “If Archbishop Bumbun has any penance left to complete, I will offer to take on all his penances. Please bring his soul swiftly to Heaven.” I prayed this while looking at the Holy Image of Jesus of Mercy in Glory and the Statue of the Blessed Mother of Naju enshrined on the altar. At that moment, something swiftly tried to soar as if waving three times in front of the statue of the Blessed Mother on the altar. Then Archbishop Bumbun appeared, wearing a delicately flowing white garment with gold embroidery on the front, looking young, and he spoke to me.

Archbishop Bumbun: "Mama Julia! Please do not cry. My heart has always been happy thanks to you Mama Julia and Naju. Even in your extreme pain, you joyfully accepted the suffering in reparation for me, so now I am going up to Heaven. Thank you. Something good will happen soon. I will pray with the saints in Heaven. Adieu~”

He then waved and ascended, and I was overwhelmed with joy. I understood everything the Archbishop had said. It was only then that I realized, “Oh? The Archbishop spoke in Korean,” and I was amazed.

*Another story: When Archbishop Bumbun said "Adieu~," Mama Julia didn't understand what it meant. Her assistant looked it up on the Internet and found that it means "Let's meet again in the Lord." Later, Sr. Michaella communicated with Mrs. Irene from Indonesia, who had brought Archbishop Bumbun to Naju several times. Mrs. Irene said, "Oh, he used to say 'Adieu' during his lifetime." We were amazed once again.
