๐ When she gently touched the edge of Mama Julia’s skirt, the lump that had filled her stomach disappeared completely! ๐
Praise be to Jesus, praise be to the Blessed Mother!
It has been more than 30 years since I attended to Naju. In the meantime, I have received too many healings through Mama Julia.
One day, I went to St. Vincent's Hospital with severe stomach pain and they said my stomach was filled with lumps. (It had spread to the intestines already.)
I was informed that without an operation, even my intestines would have to be cut out.
However, my godmother suggested, 'Vincentia, why don't you go to Naju? I heard there is a lot of grace overflowing in Naju. Why don't you go there?” She introduced me to a volunteer in Naju. so, I came to Naju for the first time, with a desperate heart of grasping at straws but I was happy because the grace was so immense.
When Mama Julia spoke from the podium, the hem of her hanbok touched people’s hands because we faced each other very closely. So, I was reminded of a woman who suffered from hemorrhage in the bible, ‘If I could just reach even the hem of Mama Julia’s skirt, wouldn't I be healed? So, I gently grabbed the hem of Mama Julia’s skirt.
While Mama Julia was speaking, she suddenly cut short herself and delivered the words about the woman with the hemorrhage in the bible, and then said, “Anyone here who has lumps will be healed! Please say 'Amen'.” I responded with “Amen! Amen!” However, I still doubted a bit ‘If I really could get better.' So, I went to St. Vincent's Hospital to get tested again.
During the ultrasound, the doctor asked me a question in surprise, "Huh? Where did all these lumps go?" He said that all the lumps had disappeared, not a single one left!
Without realizing I was embarrassed, I jumped up and down and exclaimed to the doctor, 'Thank you!' Thank you!" He asked me, "What in the world did you do so as to make those lumps disappear?" So, I replied, "All I did was go to Naju and pray. Thank you." So, I cried really wailing on the spot.
And I have another testimony of my healing. Following my surgery for medullary thyroid cancer, I lost my voice for three months. As I was running a small restaurant at the time, it was crucial that my voice was clear when greeting and bidding farewell to guests saying "Welcome. Goodbye." However, when I did, my voice was hoarse and unpleasant to hear.
Then I asked my husband, 'Please take me to Naju just once. Please I beg you.' However, my husband can be a bit stubborn. My daughter said to him, “Dad! It’s mom’s wish, but you can’t even grant that? Go in a hurry.”' That's how I was able to come to Naju.
I prayed the Stations of the Cross at the Blessed Mother’s Mountain and touched Jesus' feet on the crucifix at Mt. Calvary and said, "Jesus, please let my voice come out. Please, I'm having such a hard time." And the next morning my voice came out properly!
Another one is, there was a devout Protestant. She was a senior leader of a local prayer group. She asked me to attend the service at her Protestant church just once, saying that if I heard even one sermon by Pastor Cho Yong-ki, I would be converted. I said, "Okay." and I agreed to go there.
Then the Protestant asked me to go the following week, but I declined, saying, “Not this time. I had already committed to going to Naju this week. so I cannot go.” She then inquired, “What is the place, Naju?” To which I replied, 'Naju is where we gather for prayer. I promised to go there, so it is not possible to go to your church this time”
Then, she said, "Because that place is heretical, I'll go there once and talk to you." And she asked “Can I follow you?” I allowed her to go with me, but she really followed me. While we were praying in the Naju Chapel, at that time, there was a scent of roses that even reached the bathroom, but the protestant with me was saying, "I can't smell anything." I said, “Well, why don't you just kneel down and asked for letting you smell it." She looked at me with confusion tilting her head, but eventually sit and began to pray.
Afterwards, she exclaimed that she really smelled the scent of roses. After expressing how incredibly strange it was, on the way back in the car, and she said, "I will convert to Catholicism." I immediately asked the volunteer lady to be her godmother right away.
This protestant came back home and was really baptized. Her husband had his job as an agent of the National Security Agency. Despite her husband's tough personality and his job, they maintained their married life but had lived in separate rooms treating each other as enemies for over 10 years. By the way, as they went on pilgrimage to Naju, they were both baptized, and able to reconcile their relationship. They became a devoted, and attended Catholic Church earnestly. So, I heard that they conducted a tremendous amount of evangelism.
The grace I had received from Naju was so great that I thought, ‘Oh, I want to make up for it even a little somehow.’ But regrettably, there was no way for me to do.
Several years have passed since then, but our branch leader informed and suggested me “Naju chapel was destroyed by fire, so each of us make a contribution. Sister, would you contribute like this?” So, “Oh, of course! I will do it.” I supported by setting up one account. The following day, how it was so marvelous. because my restaurant's income had increased several times more than the amount I donated.
‘It is very strange. And oh, is this happening by accident?’ So, I said “I’ll contribute one more Account.” In surprise, I noticed that the income of my restaurant increased again like that. So I realized, ‘Ah, this is grace from God.’ Then, after a while, I thought, ‘Oh, then I'll offer this up according to the number of family members!’ And I offered it up according to the number of family members, and within a few days, that amount was filled up again. So, I was really grateful and grateful. I am truly grateful to Jesus and the Blessed Mother who are truly present here.
Whenever I come here, I always make sure to buy a lot of these holy articles (sacramentals) and give them as gifts to those in need. And they really like it. Additionally, I bring one of the Catholic church members sometimes.
“Just once go there and only look. Don't be like that behind, just go and look," After they came back, I received their positive word saying that Naju was so good. I'm so grateful for all these graces, because all these graces are the fruit of the beautiful offering of Mama Julia's extreme redemptive suffering. I give glory back to the Lord and to Our Lady who appeared and are present in Naju. Thank you!
