✨ With a cracking sound—crack, crack—my left leg  instantly lengthened by 3 cm! ✨

Hello, my name is Andrew Daegon Kim Han-gil. When I was five years old, I was in a traffic accident that fractured my right shin in three places. After that, my right leg, which had been injured, grew faster than my left leg, but I was able to live without much difficulty until elementary school.

However, starting in the 6th grade of elementary school, my body began to grow rapidly. By the end of 1st year of middle school, when my height exceeded 173 cm, the difference in length between my left and right legs became significant, with my left leg approximately 3 cm shorter than my right.

At this point, going to school and daily life became very difficult. When I stood straight, my right leg was 3 cm longer, so no matter how hard I tried, I had to lean slightly to the left. As a result, my left shoulder became uneven, and starting in the 2nd year of middle school, my lower back also began to hurt, possibly due to misalignment of my spine.

Some people would say I looked awkward or clumsy when I was standing, but at first, I didn’t think much of it. And in the summer, when I wore shorts, the difference in my legs was very noticeable. So when friends would say, “Hey, your leg looks a bit strange,” I would reply, “Yeah, I had an accident when I was little.”

Being a student, I had to sit for long periods in class, and even sitting a little while caused my lower back to hurt. When I told my parents, they said, “Why would a kid like you have back pain?” Even after sleeping, I didn’t feel refreshed, and my shoulders and lower back continued to ache.

Another source of discomfort was when I was measured for height or walking around—because I limped, my friends would say things like, “Hey, that’s weird. Don’t overdo it!” Every time I heard comments like that, it hurt my feelings a lot. Even when I tried to explain to my parents, they didn’t take me seriously and treated it as nothing important, which made my heart ache even more. I would get upset over small things, feel sad, and often cry in secret.

By the time I reached 3rd year of middle school, my height had surpassed 179 cm. With my feet growing proportionally longer, life became even more difficult than in 2nd year. As my body became crooked, I felt my heart and spirit slowly start to become twisted as well.

However, on February 12 of that year, I attended the Thursday Holy Hour prayer at the Blessed Mother’s House in Naju. During the individual meeting with Mama Julia, my left knee suddenly felt like it was pulsing—thump, thump, tick, tick—as if something was bouncing inside. I thought to myself, “Ah! Our Lady must be granting a healing miracle!” and inwardly prayed, “Lord, let Your will be done.” Then I said to my father, who was beside me, “Dad, please feel it.”

When my father touched my left knee, he was astonished and exclaimed, “Jesus! Our Lady! Thank you. Through Mama Julia’s suffering and offering, You are healing my son, Andrew Daegon!” He then asked my mother to feel it as well. My mother touched my knee, and her eyes widened in shock, clearly amazed.

But the astonishing healing miracle did not end there. From my left knee, which had been pulsating so strongly that it seemed as if it might push away anyone’s hand, I soon began to hear a cracking sound—“crack, crack.” This continued for about ten minutes, after which the mysterious cracking and the pulsing gradually subsided, and I was completely healed. Not only did my previously shorter leg grow to the correct length, but my crooked back and aching spine were also restored to normal, and even my once-twisted heart was healed.

Whenever I sat down and stood up, my body noticeably leaned to the left. But after the Thursday Holy Hour prayer ended, the moment I stood up, I felt completely comfortable. The feeling was so good that I tried walking—and I was walking straight, without leaning to the left. When I went to the hospital for a check-up on March 1, the X-rays showed that the lengths of both leg bones were exactly the same.

The doctor explained that if the length difference between the left and right legs is more than 2.5 cm, it becomes noticeable that one leg is shorter, and the pelvis and spine start to tilt, which affects daily life. In my case, the difference was over 3 cm, so it was really significant.

At school, some friends have noticed that I seem taller. Actually, after the healing, since my previously shorter leg grew, I ended up about 1.5 cm taller.

Through the healing of my left leg growing, I am determined to live the life that the Lord and the Blessed Mother desire, turning my lives into prayers and striving continuously. Thank you, Lord and Blessed Mother.
