Without the grace from Naju, I might no longer be alive today.

My name is Peter Yoon Byung-sik, and I reside in Daegu, South Korea. I am 80 years old. I have received countless and overflowing graces through Our Lady of Naju. If I were to recount all of them, even an entire night would not suffice. Without these graces, I might no longer be alive today. Yet, until now, I have never given a formal testimony, which has long weighed on my heart. Therefore, I would like to share at least a few of these experiences.

This year marks the 22nd year since I began making pilgrimages to Naju. About five or six years before my first pilgrimage, my business, which had been flourishing, suddenly collapsed. My future became uncertain, and under extreme stress, both my physical and mental health deteriorated. I eventually suffered from panic disorder, social phobia, and severe nervous exhaustion. Those who have not experienced such suffering may find it difficult to understand its depth.

I sought treatment at well-known hospitals, but to no avail. I was prescribed psychiatric medication and took it for several years, but with little improvement. During that time, I came to know about Our Lady of Naju. My wife began making pilgrimages first, but I was unable to accompany her.

At that time, I could not even face visitors. If a friend came to my house, I would remain in my room. Even during meals, I avoided others and ate separately. For about three to five years, I lived almost entirely confined to my room, going only between home and the hospital. Due to the daily medication, my mind was often dull and clouded.

However, after my wife began her pilgrimages to Naju, my condition gradually improved. I was able to exercise lightly and tend a small vegetable garden. Nevertheless, I still could not face people. Around that time, I began to perceive the fragrance of roses. There was no visible source, yet the scent would suddenly fill the air.

Our home is on the fifth floor. Wondering about the source, I once looked outside and saw my wife returning from Naju, unloading the water she had brought from Naju. This occurred on several occasions.

When I told her about this, she encouraged me to accompany her to Naju. I initially refused, saying that I could not go to places where people gather. However, she urged me to go with the resolve that even if I were to die, it would be acceptable, trusting that the Lord and the Blessed Mother would help me. With that determination, I finally decided to go.

At that time, the prayers were held in the old chapel, and people were packed together like sardines in a can. It seemed impossible for me to remain there, yet I had no choice but to sit among them.

Then something remarkable occurred. To my surprise, I felt completely at peace. From that moment, I was able to continue my pilgrimages to Naju with a calm and stable heart. I was freed from the suffering that had bound me for so long! 

About 14 years ago, I developed a persistent cough that lasted for several months. Upon examination, an X-ray revealed a distinct mark in my lung. Two doctors independently stated that it was lung cancer and advised me to seek further evaluation at a major hospital.

I made an appointment for the following day. That night, toward dawn, I had a dream. Through a thick fog, a person approached me. As the figure came closer, I recognized Mama Julia. She said nothing but simply passed by me. That was all.

When I awoke, I felt an unusual sense of clarity and well-being. At the hospital, further tests and a new X-ray showed that everything was completely clear. Even more astonishingly, the mark that had been clearly visible on the previous X-ray had disappeared. From that moment, my cough ceased, and I was completely healed.💞

Eight years ago, I also suffered a cerebral infarction, which caused paralysis on the right side of my body. I was hospitalized in the intensive care unit for ten days and remained at Kyungpook National University Hospital for two months. At that time, I was unable even to sit in a wheelchair without assistance. It was a very serious condition.

However, my wife encouraged me, saying that Our Lady of Naju would help me. As I faithfully drank the Naju Miraculous Water, my condition gradually improved. Now I have recovered fully and am able to continue my pilgrimages without difficulty. Amen! 

Many people around me find it hard to believe that I am 80 years old, often thinking I am younger. I attribute this entirely to the graces I have received in Naju. In addition to these, there have been countless other graces, which I may have the opportunity to share in the future.

Looking back, the past decades feel almost like a dream. Although I endured prolonged suffering, each time I was able to rise again through grace from Naju. I was lifted from what felt like a deep swamp of suffering.

I cannot imagine what my life would have been without these graces from Naju. Since this testimony comes from my own direct experience, I can testify to its truth. 

From this point forward, I resolve to follow the Lord and the Blessed Mother who appeared in Naju with greater fidelity. Until the end of my life, I will strive to remain faithful to Naju. I also express my gratitude to Mama Julia, who offers profound sacrificial sufferings in reparation for many souls.

Though we may be inadequate, there must be many people like us. Mama Julia, please take courage and continue to persevere with strength, as you always have. Mama Julia, I offer my heartfelt gratitude and love.
