✨“Whole students at school were changed through the Five Spiritualities.”✨

A Quiet Yet Shining Presence ✨
I am Joanna Do Chun-ok from the Daegu Diocese, South Korea. I got a job at a school. While money was needed, I also wanted to attend daily Mass. So I prayed, “Jesus, is there a job where I can earn some pocket money while attending Mass every day?” I also prayed, “Jesus, use me as your mop to wipe away all the dirt from souls.” In response, Jesus gave me a job cleaning the school.
There are 400 students, 50 teachers, three buildings, and 15 toilets in the school. I didn’t know where to start or finish cleaning them all. I promised, “Lord! Blessed Mother! Even though this is just a cleaning job, I will see it as a Lord-given workplace and faithfully do it, so that I may glorify You!”
As I learned “Turning Our Daily Lives Into Prayers”, one of the Five Spiritualities, from Mama Julia in Naju, I resolved to practice it whenever I clean, offering my work for the souls of the students and teachers at the school.
While cleaning the stairs, I prayed, “Lord, I am now cleaning these stairs. Please purify the bad habits of all the students and teachers who step on them, so that they may ascend the steps toward Heaven!”
Four hundred students attend the school, and there are 15 toilets. Without practicing Turning Our Daily Lives Into Prayers, I cannot work there. When a toilet is clogged, I pray, “Jesus, I am now unclogging this toilet. Please remove all blockages in the souls and bodies of the students and teachers, and help them to repent!”
And when I pick up trash, I pray while bending over, “Whenever I pick up trash, please take all the abandoned souls at this school into Mary’s Ark of Salvation and help them all reach Heaven.”

As I offered all my acts as prayers through Turning Our Daily Lives Into Prayers, as I learned in Naju, after a year the students began to change. There were no longer students spitting saliva or phlegm, or throwing trash on the stairs, in the bathrooms, or in the hallways.
So I said to the teacher, “Teacher, if your students have changed this much, please praise them. It is said that praise is the most excellent form of education, so when you praise them, they will do even better, right?” She agreed.
There is a teacher who had been working at our school before I started. He knows very well how the school has changed. One time, a new teacher said to him, “This school building is 20 years old, yet it is so clean. How did you teach the students to keep it this way?” The older teacher replied, “It’s not me, but this helper who cleans here. Through her cleaning, the students kept changing.” The teacher wrote about what happened before and after I came to the school and posted it on the Internet. He shared it with other teachers and all the students at the school.

The Janitor Who Transformed the School…
A Quiet Yet Shining Presence
How well students say hello to me every time I meet them! When they say hello to me, I pray “Lord and Blessed Mother, I do not deserve to be greeted. Because they are greeting You and the Blessed Mother, please accept it, remember them, save all these children, and let even those students’ all ancestors enjoy eternal rest in Heaven!”
The school gave an award to me. While receiving the award, I prayed, “Jesus, Blessed Mother, received all the glory, This award is yours, not mine!”
A monthly magazine also contacted me, saying, “Can we post your story in the magazine?” I permitted them, so the magazine company sent me the big bouquet of flowers. So I offered it to the Blessed Mother of Naju.
“Blessed Mother, please accept it. All 400 students changed. This is not what I did. As an individual, how could I clean up the mess of 400 people?
It is the answer to the prayer that I prayed to use me as a mop, so you sent me to the school, and the Lord and the Blessed Mother stayed with me. That’s why all the school students changed together. I give all the glory to the Lord. Thank you.”
