"No matter what situation came, the Five Spiritualities became my weapon!" ๐๐
Praise Jesus! Praise the Blessed Mother!
This is Gemma Jeong from Gwangju Archdiocese, South Korea.
I am married, but in the beginning, my marriage was not a happy one. During our newlywed years, my husband was very stubborn and made life extremely difficult for me. At that time, he was involved in many harmful things—including gambling and other behaviors he should not have been doing.
One night, the Blessed Mother appeared in my dream, shedding tears of blood. From that moment, I began praying the Rosary and, going to Naju, and I repented with many tears.
Still, whenever my husband made things very difficult, I would end up arguing with him and speaking words of judgment about him.
But after attending the Five Spiritualities Retreat in Naju, I began to truly practice “It’s My fault”, “Semchigo”, “Turning my life into Prayers”, and “The Life of Offering Up.”
So when my husband said something hurtful, it was difficult in the moment, but I offered it up graciously. “Oh… it’s my fault. Yes, let me treat it with Semchigo as if it didn’t happen.” When I offered it up with Semchigo, as if he were the one offering me what I wanted, the joy I felt was indescribable. “Oh This is it!”
Because of that, no matter what situation came, the Five Spiritualities became my weapon. I was able to offer up things well, and our home became peaceful—we now understand one another and live in harmony.
I have been married for 40 years now. Even when we occasionally argue, I say to him, “Ah, it’s my fault,” and I try to understand him and offer up everything well. This year, my husband finally received baptism. I give thanks to the Lord and the Blessed Mother!
Now I say to myself, “Yes, since I’ve received this happiness, I must share it. I am walking on a path of flowers now—how blessed I am! For the Immaculate Heart of our Mother Mary and for Mama Julia, I must run with all my heart and share this grace!”

And so, with this spirit, I continue to spread the message of Naju and invited pilgrims to Naju Shrine.
To the Lord and the Blessed Mother, I offer all the glory, and I thank Mama Julia. Amen!
