Message on March 30, 1997
I went to the Chapel, began to pray, and cried in front of the Blessed Mother’s statue, reflecting on the suffering that the Lord and the Blessed Mother had to endure because of my unworthiness. ‘How much time has passed?’ Light poured down from the Crucifix a powerful, intense light emanating from the Seven Wounds of Jesus, just as before. As the light touched me, I felt sharp pain as it pierced seven parts of my body, and immediately I was led to participate in Jesus’ suffering. Then, I heard the loving voice of Jesus.
JESUS: My Little Soul! Have I not told you that I love all of you, even when you make mistakes by misusing your free will? Two thousand years ago, I drank the Cup of Passion by being crucified, when the children of the world perpetrated offenses against Me like violent winds and raging waves. However, I was not defeated by death but rose from the dead on the third day, thus promising new life to all of you.
Do not be afraid, but come closer to Me. During the hours when I was passing from death to resurrection, you did not sleep; instead, as a sinner, you prayed earnestly, wept, and sought Me.
Remember that I came into this world not to call the righteous, but to call sinners, and that I love you who always seek Me as a sinner just as I loved Mary Magdalene, who confessed that she was a sinner. Whenever you open your hearts, stay awake, and pray, your tears and sighs will be turned into joy.
When Jesus finished speaking, the light also faded away. My eyes, which had been swollen and bloodshot from weeping during prayer, returned to normal. The pain vanished, and I could see everything clearly.
