Believing her without any doubt, Victorina began praying and socializing with K’s group.

K’s deception was so clever that Victorina, without suspecting anything, began to help them with their activities, alongside her husband. Her husband also, baptized with the name of Victorino, believed K was a respectable person because of her active involvement in the parish, which led him to fall into the group’s grasp. The couple did everything they were told. Victorino, who enjoyed fishing, would catch fish almost every day, slice it into sashimi and bring it to K’s group as a form of service.

Although Victorina and her husband diligently served K, they felt no spiritual peace or joy. They sensed an inexplicable sense of alienation and were ostracized. In the words and actions of those in the group who called themselves the fervent children of the Blessed Mother of Naju, the couple observed hypocrisy and spiritual pride—revealing that these individuals were not truly practicing the Lord’s love.

At first, they acted as if they were collaborators of the Blessed Mother’s House, but at some point, they began to slyly say, “We are the very ones who truly receive the message of the Blessed Mother and receive the suffering of Jesus.” On the surface, they pretended to praise the Blessed Mother of Naju and me, but in reality, they were criticizing us. They not only spoke ill of me, but also my family, especially my children and even made strange false remarks.

Moreover, whenever Victorina tried to go to the Blessed Mother’s House in Naju, they would give various excuses, saying things like, “You need to wait,” or making strange remarks to prevent her from going. As Victorino began to feel suspicious on their behaviors, he attended a retreat at the Yeongbo Convent in Gwacheon, where I was invited as a speaker to deliver the Blessed Mother’s Messages. Countless people repented and wept and Victorino was one of them.

Having received the great grace of repentance, Victorino developed the desire to think, “Let me pilgrimage to the Blessed Mother’s House in Naju and help with even small acts of service.” So, he told K, whom he thought spiritually respected, “I intend to serve at the Blessed Mother’s House in Naju.” However, K became angry and shouted at him, saying, “It is not the right time yet!”

Meanwhile, she strangely spoke various false things about the Blessed Mother’s House and me, trying to prevent him from going. Upon hearing this, Victorino was deeply shocked. Later, after he managed to leave that place, Victorino said, “Until that moment, I had thought sister K was a collaborator of the Blessed Mother’s House. But the things sister K was saying were completely the opposite of what you, my sister-in-law (he referred to my husband, Julio, as his older brother), said when you conveyed the Blessed Mother’s Message in Gwacheon.”

They also discouraged Victorino from going to the Blessed Mother’s House, claiming that his business would completely fail if he did. They even threatened Victorina, saying, “If you go to the Blessed Mother’s House, I will throw you into the firewood pile as kindling!” Despite the group’s threats, Victorino’s grace of repentance was so strong and he was so certain that he remained unwavering, saying, “I will go to the Blessed Mother’s House.” From then on, whenever he had time, he came to serve at the Blessed Mother’s House with his wife, Victorina, who had become a volunteer.
