482. The right wrist bones were shattered, damaging the ligaments, nerves, and thin vessels

๐Ÿ’Œ 482. The right wrist bones were shattered, damaging the ligaments, nerves, and thin vessels

It was exhausting and difficult to take care of both my mother-in-law and the elderly woman patient. But, I was so overjoyed that I gave endless gratitude to God Who had saved me from death, at the thought that I could be of even the smallest help to someone. While nursing my mother-in-law, kissing and blowing my breath on her injured wrist, I looked after her with the utmost devotion.

Especially when I kissed and blew my breath on my mother-in-law’s wrist, the memory of my flying with Jesus came to mind; when I blew my breath, tombs were opened, bones joined together, flesh appeared, bringing the dead bodies back to life. In response, fervent prayers spontaneously arose: "Jesus, because You were with me, through the blowing of my breath, tombs were opened, bones came together, flesh appeared and the dead bodies were brought back to life, revealing the astonishing miracle of love.

Be with me at every moment and now, replace this breath that I blow onto my mother-in-law's wrist with Your Breath, so that her injured wrist and health may recover swiftly, revealing Your glory.” I earnestly prayed and frequently blew breath and gave kisses to her wrist.

When the two wrist bones were broken, it damaged the adjacent ligaments, nerves, and tiny blood vessels, crushing the nearby bones. But my mother-in-law had a remarkably swift recovery, leaving doctors and nurses very amazed and astonished. Additionally, I frequently blew breath and gave kisses to the elderly woman next to her who had a leg fracture. She, too, recovered at an astonishingly fast pace and was discharged.

Although the elderly woman was pleased with the quick recovery of her leg, she could not hide her regret about parting from me. She said, "Dear young madam, thanks to you, I recovered quickly. While I am very glad for the fast recovery, I have developed an affection for you all this time, so how can I bear not seeing you anymore? You truly will be blessed. I appreciate everything you have done for me." With these words, she left. I was so happy to see her departing, walking healthy and very well. I thanked Jesus for that.

Despite my husband having his seven siblings, none of them or his sisters-in-law offered any help, so I had to nurse my mother-in-law by myself throughout the hospitalization period. Since no one came to see her, even for a moment, I could not possibly leave her alone. As a result, it caused huge damage to the management of my recently started beauty parlor. Nevertheless, practicing Semchigo as if I had gone to work at the parlor and Semchigo as if the business had run smoothly, I offered up everything for the sake of my mother-in-law.

My mother-in-law was discharged in just two weeks. During the discharge process, the surgery cost alone turned out to be as much as 1.5 million Won in the year of 1980, and when combined with the hospitalization fee of 200,000 Won, it amounted to a total of 1.7 million Won. I was surprised and asked the hospital administration staff, “Why is the hospital bill so high?” The staff then responded.

“Not only were the wrist bones broken but they were shattered and the nerves and ligaments were all damaged. Additionally, the adjacent bones were fractured into pieces, making the operation extremely difficult. But the surgery has been covered by the Health Insurance fortunately, thereby charging you only that money. In fact, in cases like her, surgery would have been difficult and recovery would have also been very slow, prolonging the hospital stay by at least one more month.

I assume the hospital bill for someone like her would have been much higher but you saved on money since she recovered so surprisingly quickly. Usually, given such age and injury, one could easily need another year for recovery. Still, it is fortunate that she recovered quickly.”

At that time, I was in a financially difficult situation. Though my beauty salon was thriving, it was entirely funded by loans, so both the principal and interest alone was too much for me to handle.

Moreover, since I had not gone to work at the beauty salon for two weeks, I could not earn money. So, how did things go for me? Besides that, I had no money from the beginning because I had to repay my mother-in-law’s huge debts on her behalf. She urged only me to settle the hospital bill without informing her son, my husband. Therefore, I found myself facing the high medical bill, and after much deliberation, I thought, ‘Perhaps, my siblings-in-law are in a much better financial situation than us who are living in debts.

So, they might be able to offer some assistance.’ With this notion in mind, I reached out to all of my husband's siblings, except those who were university students and reluctantly broached the topic of the hospital bill.

However, just like when my mother-in-law was hospitalized, no one offered any help. Personally, I found it was about to be incomprehensible in common human sense that none of them would extend a helping hand to their own mother.

Nevertheless, I offered it up by practicing Semchigo as if they all chipped in. In usual cases, the treatment would have taken more time, incurring greater costs, but I thanked Jesus for lowering the hospital bill significantly by healing my mother-in-law quickly as He answered my heartfelt prayers.

Then, I once again sought help from my eldest maternal aunt who always helped me. With difficulty, I borrowed money from her and paid the hospital bills. I took my mother-in-law to her home in Gwangju and said, “Mother, you have suffered much during the stay in the hospital. Please do not push yourself and take it easy. I will come again.” I then returned to Naju. During her two-week stay in the hospital, none of her seven children came to visit her, let alone provide nursing care for her.

They did not contribute a single penny to the hospital bills. However, considering it my duty, I offered it up with Semchigo as if my husband’s siblings had contributed money to pay the bill. Then, I did not feel any bitter. Instead, thinking that the Lord had made me play the role of the Apostle John, who remained till the end at the side of Jesus who hung on the Cross, I practiced Semchigo as if I had done it for Jesus. Then, I even felt satisfied in joy and gave gratitude to God for letting me practice love for my mother-in-law.

In all these, a deep blessings hidden behind all that my eldest aunt could loan me monies.
Later on, I came to realize a truly amazing providence of the Lord. Since right after I was married in 1971, my mother-in-law frequently visited me to demand money urgently. Each time I sought help from my eldest aunt living in Gwangju, she willingly lent me money.

So, I once asked her how she could consistently borrow such a large amount of money for me each time. She replied, “Well, I was acquainted with wealthy people at that time but during those poor days, who could have had such a large sum readily available?

However, strangely enough, every time you begged me for money, they had the money. Not just once or twice. Every time and so frequently you asked for money, they had the money on hand.”

What else could this be other than the Lord’s provision for me? Praise, thanks and glory be to the Lord who bestows necessary graces when they are needed!
