๐ 583. Even a Smart Person, if Not Awake, Can Be Helplessly Deceived by a False ProphecyWhen sister K made false prophecies and was taking away all the volunteers from the House of Our Lady of Naju, she lured them by showing something resembling a strange multilevel organizational chart. Sister K originally had excellent speaking skills. She brainwashed people by saying, "Julia derived from the Blessed Mother, I, sister K, derived from Julia, and all other volunteers derived from K."
And among the seven volunteers whom K said were directly derived from her, there was someone K regarded as her immediate subordinate, the next person after herself and that person was a sister named V. Sister V was the most hardworking, humble and quiet one among the volunteers at the House of Our Lady of Naju, making me trust her deeply. And it was an even more precious connection because my husband, Julio, was the godfather of her husband.
Therefore, V was of great help and liked me so much that she truly treated even my family with love. She especially followed and liked my mother with a special heart, treating her with utmost devotion, just like her own mother. After getting married, I was busy helping my in-laws and after coming back to life from death, I was fully occupied with running the parlor and doing the Lordโs work to the best of my ability, leaving me with no time to spare.
I always felt sorry for not being able to take care of my mother, especially since I had asked the Lord for suffering and after the Blessed Mother wept Tears, as I was occupied with meeting pilgrims. I was especially grateful to sister V, who took care of my mother and treated her well, as my mother had suffered most of her time and hardly had a chance to enjoy a comfortable life helping me, her daughter. Sister V frequently brought ingredients for โHealthy Nutrition Stewโ for my mother, who liked it.
Sister V would prepare all the ingredients, including grinding the chili peppers and preparing various seasonings and taro stems, so all we had to do was put them in the pot, add water, and let it boil. Even though sister V's husband worked at the tax office and their financial situation could be said to be relatively comfortable, I was deeply grateful because I knew very well that it was not easy to do that with such love and dedication with full consideration each time.
Before I knew the Lord, after giving birth to my fourth child and undergoing surgery for appendicitis, I was vomiting even when I drank just water. I asked my in-laws for the healthy nutrition stew thinking it might be the one thing I could manage to eat. My mother-in-law, though a family member, reluctantly made it, charged me for it and gave me a hard time in the process. In contrast, Sister V, who was neither family nor even a distant relative, gladly helped me without expecting any recognition. I was extremely grateful for her kindness. Because of this, I have always prayed for her and her family.
That was why K targeted the capable and polite sister V as her first choice. Sister K started to selectively choose and take the most capable and hardworking individuals first among the volunteers. Seeing that, despite being smart and clever, they were not spiritually awake and could not discern and were all falling for Sister K's sweet talk, my heart was shedding tears of blood.
I heard that at first, she trickily flattered and praised them, addressing their unspoken needs and desires, then gradually fueled their pride to win their favor. Then, she subtly began criticizing me while endlessly elevating herself. Since I was perceived as a good person by everyone, if she had slandered me abruptly from the beginning, no one would have believed her.
However, she would mention that she had known me for a long time, seemingly praising me on the surface, but in reality, her words were thinly veiled criticisms. She would say things like, โSister Julia used to be so humble and good in the beginning but as she started receiving praise from many people, she became corrupted and began to be proud.โ Hearing only her side, people gradually began to lose trust in me and division set in.
It is said that she also spoke these words to Paul, the chairman of the Charismatic Movement in Gwangju, who trusted and believed in me deeply. Later, she even openly criticized me in front of me. The devil's schemes were very cunning, employing all kinds of manipulative tactics to deceive even the simple-hearted souls who had been called by the Lord to be unable to discern the truth. I could offer up the criticisms directed at me as my own faults to the Lord, practicing Semchigo as if I had been loved.
However, seeing volunteers leaving after being brainwashed by K without my knowledge, I felt so sad and pitiful for those souls that the dew drops of tears never stopped. In the end, sister V also left the House of Our Lady of Naju, following sister K. To me, sister V leaving the House of Our Lady of Naju was a pain that pierced my heart like a dagger but I offered it up, practicing Semchigo, as if I had been loved deeply by God, hoping that sister V would return to the path of truth.
