555. Resolving to Descend Below to Ignite Souls With Flaming Love

๐Ÿ’Œ 555. Resolving to Descend Below to Ignite Souls With Flaming Love

I asked the Lord that I may share in his sufferings and began offering up my suffering (*of atonement) to Him during the Lenten season of 1982. Even after that, I diligently carried out the task of changing briquettes in the middle of every night until I quit the beauty parlor. The (spiritual) principle of briquettes had been deeply ingrained in my heart since childhood! Every time when I got up, rubbing my eyes that refused to open easily and to change the briquettes, the Lord led me into deeper meditation.

I meditated on the deep humility and love of Jesus, Who is God and yet took on Humanity to lower and lower Himself until He died on the Cross, in line with the principle of briquettes. To light a new briquette, a lively burning briquette is placed underneath that of the new briquette, a new black briquette which is placed on top of the burning briquette. This burning briquette below ignites the new black briquette above it, burning out completely to turn white, breathing life into the new briquette so that it burns hot and fiercely.

However, no matter how vigorously a burning briquette is, it cannot ignite the new briquette if the burning one is not below the new one, but on top of it. If it is so, it may appear to burn at first, but both briquettes will soon be extinguished. After coming to know the Lord, I observed this and gained a deeper understanding of the principle of briquettes that I had been contemplating since childhood.

“Ah! This is it! Only when I go down can I ignite everyone. While many seek to rule over others, let me descend lower, becoming one who washes the feet of my neighbors. And I shall go even lower, to become the one who ignites the cold hearts of my neighbors with the fire of love. If I do not descend first, how can I set souls ablaze?

Moreover, when we pray for our neighbors, should we not go beyond mere words and, through leading by example in our daily lives, offer sacrifices and penance as well? In doing so, would the Lord not perform even greater miracles of love? I shall first descend to the lowest, offering the prayer of sacrificial penance and live a life of martyrdom like a briquette fire, burning in flames to ignite souls.”

Although others may find the tasks I do burdensome and complain about them, I exert a spirit of martyrdom and offer them up through “Turning our lives into Prayers, grace flows to those souls, becoming a fragrant sacrifice before the Lord's throne. This fills me with immense joy.

I cried out to the Lord while meditating on the simple truth that only when we lower ourselves to become like base manure, only then can the new briquette be ignited.

“O, my beloved Lord, thank You for constantly leading me, who am always unworthy, to enlightenment. Indeed, genuine service is to continually and completely humble oneself, lowering again and again to serve others. If one
giving service with pride without humility, one exalts oneself, lording over others and oppressing them with a commanding tone, would that not only hurt many and fail to convey Your love? How could that then be called genuine service?

So, Lord, please help us all become humbler and smaller like You, Who humbled Yourself, so that our burning, ardent love will not be extinguished midway. Grant that we may become humble little sparks that ignite the fire of Your love throughout the world, so that Your will may be fulfilled and You alone be glorified. Amen!"
At that moment, the Lord's voice, full of love, was heard.

“My beloved and adorable baby! I will sow the seed of martyrdom in your heart, which you offer up so graciously in prayer every moment with a heart of martyrdom. Cultivate and tend it well with Prayers of Life at every moment, so that it may set forth many fruits of the Holy Spirit. I will always rejoice to see you grow beautifully, and I will be with you always and everywhere.”
