The lady who had decided to divorce her husband came into the beauty parlor the very next afternoon, affectionately accompanied by a man. Wondering, “Oh my, who could it be?”, I welcomed her with a smile and gently looked at her. She let out a soft laugh, then, pulling the hand of the man she came with, said in a somewhat awkward voice, “Um… this is my husband right here.”

Then, with a grateful expression, she continued to speak. “Actually, when I first heard the story yesterday, I did not have the slightest intention of forgiving my husband. But after leaving the beauty parlor, it dawned on me that everything was my fault just as you helped me reflect on my past. So, I realized that I have been the one in the wrong all along. It is time for me to step up and be a better person.” Following your advice, I treated my husband well.

Since my husband was puzzled by my change, I told him everything that had happened here. So, he was also very pleased and asked, “Honey, where is that beauty parlor? That person is our benefactor who has helped us to start a new life, so let us visit her right away tomorrow and express our gratitude.” That is why we came here today.

Now, we made a firm resolution to love and understand each other more and to truly live well together. We are deeply thankful because you placed a stepping stone in our love that was nearly broken.” The couple expressed their deep gratitude in this way. At that moment, tears of profound gratitude flowed down my cheeks.

As I thought, “Even though I did nothing, Our Lord, Who is Love itself, did not reject but instead answered the prayers of an unworthy and inadequate sinner like me!”, tears of gratitude and joy toward the Lord welled up endlessly. I wiped my tears without them noticing and quickly said, “No, I have not done anything. Our Lord loves you so much that He has brought the two of you together again with His love, so, please give thanks to Him alone. And I hope you continue to live with a heart full of gratitude toward the Lord."

The couple readily responded, “Of course, we will start attending Catholic church now.” My joy was amplified by the hope of being born again as brother and sister in the Lord with them. 

When the lady’s husband also asked to have his hair cut, she was surprised. Just as I did when cutting his wife’s hair yesterday, I made the sign of the cross first. Throughout the process of cutting his hair, I offered the “Prayers of Life,” which the Lord has guided me through my entire life and personally taught me. After finishing the haircut with the final touches, he looked at his hair and exclaimed.

“Wow! I have never had a haircut that I liked so much like this in my entire life.
Is it okay if I come back next time?” Seeing that her husband was very pleased, she was surprised and extremely happy. “Oh, my goodness! My husband, even when I urged him just once to go to the hair salon and get a haircut, always stubbornly refused, jumping at the suggestion and firmly declining. But now, it looks like we can go to the Jeong Beauty Parlor together!” At that moment, I heard the Lord's quiet, gentle voice, as if it brushed my ears.

“My beloved little soul! When a soul is in trouble, your sweet and loving heart, expressed through ‘Turning your life into prayers’ to bring peace to that soul, not only brings joy to that soul but also fills My wounded Heart with joy.”

“Oh, my beloved Lord! I only did what I was supposed to do.” The infinitely merciful Lord Himself revealed to me that the earnest prayers I have offered throughout my life are indeed what are known as the “Prayers of Life.”

Marveling at the Lord’s Mercy for using me, an unworthy person, as a stepping stone of love to unite this nearly broken family in love, I expressed my infinite gratitude to Jesus for showing me firsthand the power of the Prayers of Life through this experience.

After that, I have devoted every moment of my life to offering prayers of fervent love to the Lord, with even greater dedication, love, and all my best efforts.
