The little soul, Julia Kim
Julia, Youn Hong-Sun (born on March 3, 1947), who is widely known abroad as Julia Kim is an ordinary housewife with two sons and two daughters with Julio, Kim Man-bok, her husband. It was the summer of 1980, when Julia who was a protestant at the time converted to Catholicism when she was on the brink of death due to complications affected by cancer. As she was preparing her death, she visited the Naju parish church by God’s calling. When she responded with “Amen” to the Word of the Lord, “Remain close to the Bible. The Bible is my living words,” she was healed of her fatal disease.
Later in 1995, on the occasion of her apostolate for the Blessed Mother, she established the House of Love, a free nursing home for the elderly who were ignored by their children or were not able to be provided social welfare because they had children who were supposed to take care of them. She devoted herself entirely to these elderly people until their funeral, on behalf of their own children.
God chose Julia who has lived her life with love and sacrifice, wishing the peace of neighbors regardless of her own difficulties as a little soul who helps the Blessed Mother for the salvation of mankind. Nevertheless, Julia lowers herself, saying, “I am just a sinner who have nothing to offer to God except my shamefulness.”
Thus God the Father shows His infinite trust to her saying on April 18, 2014; “You always lower yourself saying that you are unworthy and trivial. You bear resemblance to Mary, whom you call ‘Mommy’, in your humility that does not boast to anyone about the virtues that you have attained.”
